Kelowna teens flip parked car

Police are looking to speak further to several witnesses after a group of youths flipped a small parked car last night.

The Kelowna RCMP received a report of mischief to a vehicle in the parking lot of the Rutland Arena located at 645 Dodd Road, March 20 before 11 p.m.

"Apparently a group of youth had flipped a Smart FourTwo onto its side causing extensive damage. Two youths were detained for the investigation but later released without charges to their parents," said Const. Kris Clark.

"The vehicle was seized for further forensic analysis and the investigation is ongoing."

Several witnesses in the area helped point the police in the direction of the suspects but when investigators returned to speak with them in detail they were gone. Police are asking for those witnesses to come forward as well as anyone else who may be able to identify suspects.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Kelowna RCMP, Cst Bizier, at 250-762-3300. Remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, leaving a tip online at www.crimestoppers.net or by texting your tip to CRIMES (274637) ktown.
