Suspected robber subject of Kelowna manhunt

Police are searching for a suspect after an insurance agent was robbed at gun point Tuesday morning.

The Kelowna RCMP responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Capri Insurance located within the Capri Centre Mall, April 1,  at 11:53 a.m.

"An unknown male suspect entered the insurance agency and threatened the staff with a shotgun, demanding money. The man then fled the scene on an older light blue bicycle with an undisclosed amount of cash," said Const. Kris Clark.

"A track could not be initiated and the suspect was not located."

The suspect is described as:

  • Male
  • Approximately 5-foot-6 (167 cm)
  • Slim build
  • Wearing a black hoodie, black pants and a face mask
