Update: Fire at mixing plant caused by worker

Fire crews were on scene, Wednesday afternoon, for a fire that was caused by a worker at OK Builders Supplies Ltd at 925 McCurdy Road.

Smoke could be seen coming from the far left corner of the concrete mixing plant building.

Platoon Capt. Dennis Miller said the fire was started underneath the siding of the building.

Everyone was safely exacuated at around 2 p.m., Jan. 11.

There were no employees in the mixing plant. Employees are currently remaining inside the OK Builders Supplies building.
