Alleged robbing spree comes to an end at Tim Horton’s

A 21-year-old West Kelowna man is facing charges after a Tim Hortons was robbed Saturday evening.

A 21-year-old West Kelowna man is facing charges after a Tim Hortons was robbed Saturday evening.

The West Kelowna RCMP responded to a report of a robbery at Tim Hortons,  March 28 at 10:42 p.m.

“Information was provided that a male suspect entered the Tim Hortons with his face covered, produced a weapon and demanded money from a cashier,” said Cpl. Joe Duncan, in a press release.

“The suspect fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police Service Dog was called initiated a short track but the suspect could not be located.”

On March 29, with help from  members of the public, a 21-year-old man was taken into custody without incident. The man is charged with robbery and disguising face with intent to commit. The suspect remains in custody and will appear in court in Kelowna on April 2, 2015.

West Kelowna RCMP are still investigating robberies at Super 8 motel as well as Superstore and they believe there may be a link to all three robberies.
