Two adult males were taken into custody at gunpoint after a report of an armed break and enter attempt at a West Bench area residence Thursday morning.

According to Cpl. Dan Moskaluk at about 10:30 a.m. Penticton RCMP responded to a report of an attempted break and enter by a the residence owner who was at home at the time.

The complainant was not injured as a result of the incident and provided police with a description of the fleeing vehicle, described as a brown, 2002 Chevrolet Blazer SUV.

The two males were taken into custody without incident and the vehicle was later towed.

At the time the men were taken into custody additional police resources were dispatched to secure the scene.

The pair remain in custody and according to Moskaluk “investigational findings” led police to believe that the residence targeted was involved.
