Cougar sighting in Kelowna

RCMP report unconfirmed report of cougar sighting near Fascieux Creek in the Mission.

Kelowna RCMP have alerted Kelowna residents in the Mission area to an unconfirmed cougar sighting along the Fascieux Creek greenbelt.

The creek runs in an east-west direction between Lanfranco and KLO roads, fronting on Richter Street across from the Mission Shopping Centre.

The sighting was reported to police but their initial response failed to locate the cougar. The BC Conservation Officer Service has also been called in to check out the area and possibly find the animal.
