A Kelowna man is in critical condition following a crash on area backroads.

Mounties responded to a report of a single vehicle roll over collision with serious injuries on Victor Forest Service Road, which is located near Goudie Forest Service Road, Aug. 9., at 5: 30 p.m.

“The driver and sole occupant of the Jeep CH, a 49-year-old Kelowna man, was airlifted from the scene and transported to Kelowna General Hospital where he remains in serious condition, said Const. Jesse O’Donaghey, noting that the man had been off-roading with friends who were at another area at the time of his crash.

“At this time police are continuing to investigate this crash to determine the causal factors. The initial investigation suggests that alcohol is not being considered a contributing factor.”

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash, and have not yet spoken with police, is asked to contact Const. Sheldon Herman with the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
