Vernon philanthropist George Galbraith announces additional matching funds for rail trail

Rail Trail enthusiasts were flying high on the weekend with support shown at events from Vernon to Kelowna, and an announcement from George Galbraith that he will put up another $75,000 for matching during the month of June.

“Together, let’s raise $150,000 for Canada’s 150th,” said Galbraith.

The Lion Bear Fox concert sponsored by Spinners Audio Centre attracted about 100 music fans and trail supporters Sunday, and in Kelowna almost a dozen business partners contributed towards a fundraising food truck event to end Bike to Work Week Saturday.
