Kelowna recognizes International Children’s Games athletes

Members of teams Kelowna has sent to the International Children's Games since the city hosted the games in 2011 participated.

Kelowna’s hosting of, and participation in, the International Children’s Games was celebrated Wednesday during a ceremony in Stuart Park.

Representatives of local teams dating back to 2011 when Kelowna hosted the winter version of the games were on hand, including young athletes who just returned from the winter games in Innsbruck, Austria.

Members of the Kelowna team that will head to the summer version of the games in New Taipei City in July also participated.
