New guidelines for the city’s liquor licensing policy, as well as other items specific to the late night economy will come before Kelowna’s elected officials Monday.

A document offering ways to deal with everything from licensing entertainment venues to late night taxi problems and increasing public awareness of what downtown has to offer will be tabled.

“A common theme through these strategies is the need to collaborate with a number of different stakeholder groups, which may have competing objectives,” reads the report.

“It is envisioned that this will work to assist these groups in moving towards the shared of creating vital, livable urban centres.”
