Mounties nab wanted man

More thievery leads RCMP to catch a man wanted for theft

Mounties nabbed a wanted man allegedly committing another crime at a local business Tuesday morning in Kelowna.

On Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 10:19 a.m., the Kelowna RCMP were called to a theft in progress at a business in the 1500 block of Banks Road. Officers located their suspect inside the store's bathroom, where he was allegedly removing store product from its packaging and concealing the items on his person.

Mounties arrested their suspect and determined that he was wanted in British Columbia on several outstanding warrants, mostly related to property crimes, issued for his arrest.

The 34-year-old Kelowna man, of no fixed address, was held in police custody and was expected to appear in court Wednesday.
