Two plain clothes members of Kelowna RCMP’s property crime unit were driving in an unmarked police car the morning of Feb. 2, when a truck reported as stolen cruised by.

From the point of contact, at Lawson Avenue and Ethel Street, the officers followed the 1989 Mazda pick-up for a few blocks, up and down a few alleys, before the truck turned into a parkade.

There officers were able to box the driver in and the 29 year old Kelowna woman, was arrested without incident.

A search of the bag on the seat next to her contained her ID, along with drug paraphernalia and numerous tools used for breaking into vehicles.

The woman was released on a Promise To Appear in court, on March 14, to face charges of Possession of Stolen Property, and Possession of Break in instruments.
