‘Pop-up’ U.S. consulate returning to Kelowna

The one-day service for U.S. citizens and residents will take place Aug. 17 at the downtown library.

U.S. consular officials are coming back to Kelowna.

The United States Consulate General in Vancouver will host another travelling “pop-up consulate” for American citizens’ services in Kelowna this month.

The temporary consulate will be housed at the Okanagan Regional Library’s downtown Kelowna branch on Aug. 17.

Due to the ongoing popularity of the event, this will be the third U.S. pop-up consulate in Kelowna in 2017.

Consulate staff will be on hand will accept passport and consular report of birth abroad applications and provide notarial services. American citizens can obtain these services between 10:45 a.m and 3 p.m. Aug. 17. in the second-floor group study room at the library, located at 1380 Ellis Street in Kelowna.

All services require an appointment and a fee. Email VancouverACS@state.gov by Aug. 16 for appointments and information.
