LORAAS, Delbert (Del) Lloyd
Del passed away peacefully on Thursday Nov 10, 2016.
Del was born in Vanscoy Saskatchewan on March 27, 1932. Del is survived by: his loving wife of 63 years Margaret, three daughters Karen (Ralph), Janice (Don), Debbie, three Grandchildren Jeff (Kristyna), Jennifer and Darren, and two Great Grandchildren Adam and William.
He was also surrounded with the love of extended family and friends.
Del was predeceased by his son Kenneth Lloyd, his parents Lawrence and Vera, his brother Lorne and his sister Eleanor.
Del was an avid outdoorsman and spent many days camping, fly fishing and hunting w/ family and friends. He also spent many years training dogs for hunting and field trials. He loved to golf and became an awesome woodworker in his shop. Del & Margaret are 25 year ticket holders for the Kelowna Rockets. Del was known by his group of Rocket friends to yell out "Hit the Net" as well as "Warm up the Bus" in the 3rd period!
Del loved to dance and always had a ready smile and enjoyed giving and receiving hugs.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday November 19th, 2016 at 11:00 am at Everden Rust Services 1910 Windsor Rd. Kelowna.
