It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frank Majewski. After a short illness, Frank passed away at KGH on September 5, 2017 - just 25 days short of his 90th birthday. Frank was born in Meyronne, Saskatchewan on September 30, 1927 to Frank & Rose Majewski. He was the sixth of eleven children with five older sisters and five younger siblings. Frank moved to B.C. in the early 50’s, settling in Cranbrook where he worked for BC Tel. He then worked as a lineman for the CPR in the Coquihalla area before there was a highway. In 1956, he moved to Penticton and worked for OK Tel, which later became BC Telephone. Here, he worked for 35 years until his retirement in 1992. While in Penticton, he met Donna and they were married in 1958. They later moved to Kelowna where they raised their family and have lived ever since. Frank is predeceased by his parents and nine siblings. He is survived by, and deeply missed by, his wife of 59 years - Donna, as well as his children: Dean (Bev) of Kelowna, Brian (Diane) of Prince George, Craig of Alberta and Jodi Snair of Nova Scotia. Frank served his community for many years coaching/umping minor league ball and coaching hockey. He played hockey, ball and curled for years. Frank was an active member of the Okanagan Mission Lions Club and you could always find him mixing up pancakes or peeling onions He was a member of the Telus Ambassadors and may be remembered by many of his four-legged friends as “Santa” at Buckerfields.
