BAUER, Georgene (Gene)
Gene Bauer passed away peacefully April 29, 2017 at the age of 91. She is survived by her sons, David and Chris, both of Kelowna as well as many nieces and nephews. Gene was predeceased by her husband Victor in 2003.
Gene was an avid artist and musician. She enjoyed playing piano and organ for dances and often entertained for the Elks Clubs in Whitehorse. She started painting wildlife while in the Yukon and was skilled with water colors and acrylics. After her move to Kelowna in 1975, she joined the Rutland Palette Pals where she was secretary for six years.
Gene enjoyed skiing and curling while in the north and golfing and swimming in the warmer climes. Victor and Gene traveled extensively, cruising to the South Pacific and wintering in Yuma, Arizona. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.springfieldfuneralhome.com, 250-860-7077.
