A proud Canadian, Gerd was happily planning his next adventure when his heart packed it in Feb 20, 2017 just after his 74th birthday. He will be dearly missed by his many friends and extended family, survived by his love, Barbara Fricke. He was always willing to help out. A superb draftsman, he enjoyed working with his hands and had the ability to listen without being judgmental. Gerd was a collector of trains, coins, stamps, license plates and most of all very good friends. A celebration of life will be held in June.
