LUDWIG, Hiltraut (Hilde)
Hiltraut Ludwig, 82, of Kelowna, BC, formerly of Regina, Saskatchewan, died peacefully on November 1, 2016 in her home.
She is predeceased by her parents, Martha and Walter Werner, her brother Fritz,and her beloved husband of 36 years, Rudi Ludwig of Kelowna BC.
Hilde is survived by her son Charles (Tracey) Ludwig of Calgary, their children, Jordan, Kyle, Alexander and Madeline; Christel Konanz (Dave) of Armstrong; Angie (Kim) Taylor of Lumby, their children Mitchell, Mathew, Mackenzie and Nichole; Neal (Julie) Konanz of Calahoo, and their children Tyler, Josh and Colton; Marte (Doug) Enright of Hundred Mile House; Dean Kotopski of Coquitlam; Joey Kotopski of Nanaimo; as well as her beloved companion Heidi.
Hide came to Canada from Germany in 1953 at the young age of 19, arriving into the care of a loving family in Regina. She was an active member of the German Club where she met many life long friends and her beloved husband Rudi.
In 1985 they retired to the beautiful Okanagan where they spent many wonderful years together enjoying the picturesque surroundings and making more friends.
Hilde spent the last 24 years as a founding member of her community, again making many wonderful friends and enjoying life to the fullest. She will always be remembered for her love of life, wonderful smile, beautiful garden and beloved pet.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at First Memorial Funeral Services, 1211 Sutherland Ave, Kelowna, BC.
