Pierre Louis â??Peteâ? LETIEC

died suddenly on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at the age of 73.  He is survived by his loving wife Patricia of 42 years; daughter Kimberley LeTiec (Allen Mayo); three sons: Tony (Tina), Dwayne (Grace), Shawn; five grandchildren:  Hiedi, Jean, Derek, Cody, Brady; brother Gerald (Kathleen); four sisters:  Theresa Travers, Suzanne LeTiec, Anita Saint, Margaret Doyle (Anthony); sisters-in-law: Wilhelmina Giovannini, Agnes Carroll: brothers-in-law: Frank Power, Robert Morrow; numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his mother Hyacinth: brothers: Jean, Robert, Joseph; sister Blanche.  Peter was a man who loved life, his family, hunting, and fishing.  Born in St. Pierre et Miquelon, June 21, 1935, at age seven he moved to Newfoundland with his mom and nine siblings.  Funeral Director and Embalmer for 25 years, an active member of the Marystown Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years, he retired at age 63 and moved to Kelowna to be near his children and grandchildren.  In his retirement years he lived life fully: as soon as hunting season was over, he was ice fishing; then, “Let’s get the boat out,” in the spring.  He kept busy as well as kept his family busy.  Words cannot describe our great loss, but we take peace in knowing he lived his life to the end.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC.  You are invited to come celebrate his life!  Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.springfieldfuneralhome.com, 250-860-7077.
