BAUER, ROBERT (BOB) JOSEPH
June 26, 1937 ~ January 25, 2013
It is with deep sadness
that we announce
the passing of Robert
Joseph Bauer, beloved
husband, father and
grandfather. Bob passed away peacefully from
complications following a short battle with pneumonia. He is survived by his
wife Janet, of Spruce Grove, AB., and son Craig (Kathy), grandsons; Brandon and Richard, of Moosejaw Sask., step daughters; Shaun and Shelley, step grandsons; Troy and Devon, of Spruce Grove AB., Also continuing life’s journey without him are his twin brother John, sisters; Patricia, Monica and Louise.
With a final farewell to his family, Bob left this life on
January 25, 2013, to be united with his parents John and Elizabeth. Born and raised in Kelowna, Bob was a good
natured, caring man, leaving behind happy memories of
his love of music, fly fishing, and his sharp sense of humour.
His great passion was fly fishing in the local mountain
lakes and camping with family and friends.
He was a Charter Member of the Kelowna Fly Fishers
Club, past member of St. George’s Masonic Lodge, a
member of The Royal Canadian Legion, and the
Commissionaires. Bob attended school in Kelowna and
began employment at CP Telegraphs in Kelowna and
Vancouver before enlisting and serving honourably in the
Air Force at the early age of 19. His broad professional
and entrepreneurial career continued until he retired.
Bob took pride in his work and it showed in
everything he did down the years.
A memorial service will be held in Peachland at a later date.
