Robert “Bobâ? PYE

PYE – Robert “Bob” Pye born in Innisfail, Alberta on August 30th, 1935 died in Winfield, BC on July 16th, 2009. His family later moved to Penticton, BC where he graduated from Pen Hi in 1953. Following graduation Bob’s working career involved various areas of broadcasting. These included Radio CKOK in Penticton, CHBC-TV and programs such as “Play It Again Bob” nationally on CBC Radio, “Variety Tonight” also on CBC as well as “Time Capsule” on CILK FM and vintage film presentations on CHBC. Bob had a lifetime passion for collecting vintage films, records, player pianos and early phonograph machines. As such, he is well known and respected by many people and close friends across Canada and the U.S. He faced life’s challenges with determination, courage and his sense of humour in his later years while his health deteriorated.

Many thanks to all the caring people who assisted Bob to continue living with dignity at his home along with his faithful cat “Bailey”. There will be no service by request.
