Letter: To read Baldeo’s words is to love him

I didn’t know Albert Baldeo, but I felt like I did.

To the editor:

I didn’t know Albert Baldeo, but I felt like I did.

Although I can’t call myself a religious person, I always looked forward to reading his columns in your paper. They were always inspiring and uplifting and he wrote like we were all his personal friends!

I was very sad to learn of his death (Monday) and also sad when I read what I knew would be his last column. He wrote it with grace and you actually wondered: Is he saying his good-bye to us?

He must have been an amazing husband, father and grandfather. I can only imagine what his services must have been like at St. Paul’s Church. I have a feeling everyone would have left with a smile on their face (if not actually laughing).

Kelowna has lost a very special person. We all will miss him. Condolences to his wife and family.
