Letter: Owner of trash filled property should, by law, clean it up

To the editor:

The very large empty property on the other side of Baron from Superstore and in front of Bristol Gardens parking lot has enough trash on it to easily fill a large dump truck. The property extends from Durnin to Baron, Springfield and Leckie.

The trash comes essentially from passing vehicles that drive by, as well as walkers by.

Is there not a law which would make the property owner liable to keep it clean, even though it was not caused by the owner?

Andrew Szita,

Kelowna
