Letter: Tourist info centre in City Park a ‘grievous mistake’

To the editor:

To build a tourist information centre within City Park I think would be a very serious and grievous mistake.

I was led to believe that the city was going to make the entire Kelowna downtown core a more pedestrian friendly place by restricting motor vehicle traffic, especially from entering City Park.

I believe it would be more sensible to built a tourist information centre on the property located between the Kelowna Heritage Museum and Memorial Arena on Ellis Street.

It will be more accessible for transit and close to the Monaco hotel project planned for the corner of Doyle and Ellis.
