‘Big telecom’ forcing all of us into Internet ‘slow lane’

To the editor:

I’m writing in response to how our government and big telecom companies want to regulate the Internet taking away our right to surf the ’Net making it hard for every Canadian to enjoy a free and open Internet.

Please take a moment to look at this issue: It needs to be brought to the light so everyone will know what is going on here.

The decision to slow-lane the Net puts small businesses at risk of losing money, not to mention how it will make our choices limited. There’s cost to paying more for the service, so let’s make the valley aware of what’s going on.

I encourage Canadians to learn more about ‘big telecom’s’ plan to force websites everywhere into an Internet slow lane at http://www.OpenMedia.org/SlowLane/
