KSS Owls bounce from senior boys basketball provincials

The road to a B.C. boys basketball championship ended for the Kelowna Secondary School Owls on Thursday at the 2011 B.C. High School AAA Boys Provincial Championships in Langley.

The number two ranked Owls lost its quarterfinal match against the number four ranked Vancouver College 82-65 on Thursday.

Mitchell Goodwin fired in 24 points in a losing cause for Kelowna. The loss ended any hope of a provincial title for the Owls, who were dropped to the consolation side and were back in action late Friday.

KSS opened the event with a 46-30 win over Gleneagle. Goodwin was again the top scorer as the Owls' shooter scored 12 points.

The championship was wrapping up Saturday night.
