It was another dominant performance by Kelowna's Toshido MMA late last monthat Battlefield Fight League 21 held at the Penticton Convention Centre as both Toshido MMA fighters walked away with convincing wins.

Kevin Kellerman, at age 17, made the most out of his mixed martial arts debut. The fight quickly made its way to the ground, where Kellerman’s superior Jiu-Jitsu technique forced his opponent, Colin Butts, to submit by way of Triangle Choke at the 1:21 mark of Round 2.

After a lengthy layoff, Team Toshido’s Jake Macdonald, came back with a vengeance increasing his professional record to a perfect 3-0. Despite having to move up from his natural weight class at 155 pounds to fight his opponent John Dubois at 185 lbs, Macdonald punished Dubois with knees stopping the durable fighter by way of TKO just 21 seconds into Round 2.

“This was another fantastic night for Team Toshido” stated head coach David Lea. “The success we are having inside the cage just makes our team work harder.”

This was just the start of a busy month for Team Toshido. Team Toshido member and Ultimate Fighter TV star, Michael Hill is fighting in Calgary on March 15th for the AFC while Team Toshido veteran Mike Adams is fighting for the AFC 135 lbs World Title in Winnipeg on March 22 and Sarah “Cheesecake” Moras is fighting in Quebec at Wreck MMA on March 28th.
