Kelowna Chiefs host Knights Friday

The Kelowna Chiefs will host the North Okanagan Knights Friday in Kootenay International Junior Hockey League pre-season action.

Face off at Rutland Arena is 7 p.m.

On Friday night, in their first exhibition contest, the Chiefs lost 2-1 to the hometown Summerland Steam.

The Chiefs, who are in their fourth KIJHL season since relocating from Chase, will open the regular season Friday, Sept. 13 in Princeton against the Posse.

Kelowna's home opener will be Saturday, Sept. 14 against the Osoyoos Coyotes.

Last season, the Chiefs won the Okanagan Division regular season title, before going down to defeat to the Coyotes in the second round of the playoffs.
