OC Coyotes host fall tourney at Elks

The Okanagan College Coyotes Baseball club will host their 2013 Fall Invitational tournament this weekend at Elks Stadium.

The five-team tournament, which begins on Thursday at 6 p.m., will feature the Coyotes hosting the University of Calgary Dinos, the Thompson Rivers University Wolfpack (Kamloops), the Vancouver Island Baseball Institute (Nanaimo) and the Okanagan Athletics.

This will be the only time this fall the Coyotes and head coach Geoff White get a chance to see their main opposition for the 2014 spring season.

“We are excited to see what we will be up against come spring,” says White. "So far this fall we have mainly been playing inter-squads and high school teams so it will be nice to see what other programs from our conference have for us and see where we stack up.”

The Fall Invitational begins on Thursday when the Coyotes match up with the Okanagan Athletics at 6 p.m.  Then on Friday all five teams will see action.
