B.C. is finding home ice very much to its liking at the 2014 Brier in Kamloops.

The Vernon/Kelowna foursome, featuring John Morris, Jim Cotter, Tyrel Griffith and Rick Sawatsky, posted two more wins Wednesday to move into sole possession of top spot at 8-1 and clinched a playoff spot in the process.

The B.C. champs defeated Newfoundland's Brad Gushue 5-3 in the morning draw, then downed Ontario's Greg Balsdon 8-3 in the afternoon.

On Thursday, the Morris/Cotter crew will wrap up the round robin with games against Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

The Page playoffs begin on Friday, with the final set for Sunday at 4:30 p.m. Pacific time.
