Bruins come back on Kelowna and win in shootout

Kelowna and Chilliwack meet again Saturday in Chilliwack

The Chilliwack Bruins came from behind to defeat the Kelowna Rockets 5-4 in a shootout at Prospera Place in Kelowna Friday night.

The Bruins Robin Soudek tied the game with 3:08 left in the third period, forcing a scoreless overtime period. In the shootout Jamie Crooks scored the decisive goal, giving the Bruins two points and Kelowna one.

The Rockets record now sits at 30-22-0-1. The point gained moves them within two points of Vancouver in the race for first in the WHL BC division.

Evan Bloodoff had a pair for the Rockets while Spencer Main and Colton Sissons also scored for the Rockets who led 1-0 after the first period and 3-2 after the second.

Ryan Howse scored twice for Chilliwack and Brandon Magee also scored for Chilliwack.

The two teams will tangle again tomorrow night in Chilliwack.
