The Okanagan Rockets will look to stop a three-game winless streak Saturday when they visit the Thompson Blazers in the first of a home-and-home set between the B.C. Major Midget League rivals.

Face off at the Sandman Centre is 12:30 p.m.

The teams meet again Sunday in a 2 p.m. start at the Capital News Centre.

The Rockets (7-8-1) are coming off sweep at the hands of the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds last weekend in Abbotsford.

On Saturday, the T-Birds scored the game winner with just over six minutes left to post a 2-1 win. Captain Mitchell Gove scored Kelowna’s lone marker in the first period.

On Sunday, the Rockets opened up a 2-0 lead in the first but succumbed to Fraser Valley 5-3. Gove, Ethan Schaeffer and Will Reimer scored for Okanagan.

Despite the losses, the Rockets continue to get strong goaltending from Cole Schwebius, who made back-to-back starts for the third weekend in a row.
