Kelowna wins 3-0 Saturday as the Rockets take 2-0 lead over Tri-City in WHL first round series

Jackson Whistle stopped 30 shots for his second straight shutout, as the Kelowna Rockets downed the Tri-City Americans 3-0 Saturday to take a 2-0 lead on the best-of-seven WHL first-round series.

Rodney Southam, Leon Draisaitl and Tyson Baillie scored for the Rockets, who opened the series with a 6-0 win on Friday.

Eric Comrie made 45 saves in the Americans net.

The series now shifts to Tri-City where the Rockets and Americans will play Games 3 and 4 on Tuesday and Wednesday in Kennewick, WA.

If necessary Game 5 in the series will be back in Kelowna on Friday, April 3.
