Rockets fall to ‘Tips in Everett

Kohl Bauml scores in overtime Tuesday, handing Kelowna its second straight WHL loss

The hometown Everett Silvertips defeated the Kelowna Rockets 3-2 Tuesday night in WHL action.

The Silvertips overcame a 2-0 third period deficit, then won the game on Kohl Bauml’s goal at 4:31 of overtime.

Tyson Baillie scored his 36th goal of the season in a losing cause, and Leon Draisaitl added his 15th of the season, extending his goal scoring streak to six games.

The Rockets outshot Everett 39-30 but the Silvertips scored twice in the third to tie the game and then won it in overtime.

Kelowna fell to 48-11-4-1 on the season with the loss.

The Rockets travel to Vancouver on Friday to take on the Giants, then returns home on Saturday when they will host the Spokane Chiefs at Prospera Place.
