Dillon Dube scored twice, including the game winner on a power play, to lead the Kelowna Rockets to a 3-2 victory over the Kamloops Blazers in WHL playoff action Saturday night at Prospera Place.

The Rockets now lead the best-of-seven first-round series two games to none.

Dube’s second of the game at 13:24 of the third period boosted the Rockets to a 3-0 lead, before the Blazers made it close with a pair of late goals from Quinn Benjafield and Ondrej Vala.

Michael Herringer stopped 33 shots in the Rockets net, while Connor Ingram made 34 saves for the Blazers who lost 4-0 to the Rockets in the series opener on Friday.

Cal Foote’s goal at 2:34 of the opening period made it 1-0 for the Rockets, a lead that stood through 40 minutes.

Dube snuck one past Ingram for a shorthanded marker at 11:55 of the third period to put Kelowna up by a pair, before connecting for the game winner less than two minutes later.

Games 3 and 4 of the series are set for Tuesday and Wednesday nights at the Sandman Centre in Kamloops.
