Rockets streak over as Everett wins

Silvertips shutout Kelowna 4-0

Kelowna’s winning streak ended at nine on Wednesday night as the Everett Silvertips blanked the visiting Rockets 4-0.

The tips scored twice in the first period and added goals in the second and third to skate away with the victory.

Kelowna outshot Everett 36-34 in the loss.

The Rockets return to action this weekend when they play a home and home series with the Kamloops Blazers.

The two teams play Friday night in Kamloops and Saturday night at Prospera Place in Kelowna.

The Rockets (28-26-2-2) remain in sixth place in the WHL BC Division, two points ahead of the Blazers heading into the weekend games.
