Rockets extend WHL home winning-streak

Dylen McKinlay scored the game-winning goal midway through the second period as the Kelowna Rockets defeated the Tri-City Americans 3-2 Wednesday night in WHL action at Prospera Place.
McKinlay also added two assists as the Rockets (16-8-1-1) extended their winning streak at Prospera Place to nine games.
Myles Bell scored his team-leading 16th and 17th goals of the season to spot the Rockets to a 2-0 lead 7:30 into the first period.
The Americans bounced back with goals from Connor Rankin and Drydn Dow to square the game 2-2 after 20 minutes.
McKinlay, who was named the game's first star, notched the game winner at 10:37 of the second period, sliding the puck between the pads of Ams' goalie Eric Comrie.
Jordon Cooke stopped 24 shots in the Kelowna net as Tri-City outshot the Rockets 26-23.
The Rockets return to action Friday when they host the Moose Jaw Warriors.
