Rockets keep rolling with 4-2 win in Prince George

The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Prince George Cougars 4-2 Friday night in Prince George, extending its winning streak to five games.

Jordon Cooke earned the win in net and was named the game's first star after facing 28 shots.

Zach Franko had a goal and two assists to lead the Rockets offense in the win, the Rockets eleventh in its past twelve games.

Myles Bell had a goal and an assist while Colton Sissons and Cody Fowlie also scored for Kelowna.

A day after being named the WHL goalie of the month, Cooke was excellent in the first period, when the Rockets were outshot 10-4 but the game remained scoreless through twenty.

The win improves Kelowna's record to 28-10-1-1 on the season.

It was the first of two games this weekend between the two BC division rivals who meet Saturday night at the CN Centre in Prince George as well.

Kelowna returns home for a Wednesday night game against Victoria.
