Rockets upend Spokane in extra time

The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Spokane Chiefs 3-2 in a shootout on Wednesday night, playing a solid defensive game and scoring twice in the shootout.

Evan Bloodoff and Brandon McMillan scored for Kelowna in regulation while McMillan and Geordie Wudrick scored in the shootout in the win.

Adam Brown stopped both Spokane shooters in the shootout en route to the win.

The Rockets kept the Chiefs offense at bay for most of the night, limiting the Chiefs to 19 shots on net through regulation. Kelowna outshot Spokane 33-21 in the game.

The Rockets have two games in Kelowna this weekend as they get set to host Seattle on Friday and Vancouver on Sunday. Both games start at 7 p.m at Prospera Place.
