TOWED WATERSPORTS: Duncan boys claim bronze and silver in jump event

Towed Water Sports action continued Saturday morning.

Boys Under 17

Duncan's Todd Heard and Kyle Frederickson grabbed gold and silver, respectively, in the towed water sports jump event at the 2016 BC Summer Games in Abbotsford Saturday.

Heard posted a jump of 37.2 to claim first prize ahead of Frederickson and Coquitlam's Jacob Haddon, who claimed bronze.

Girls Under 17

In the girls event, Abbotsford's Victoria Warner claimed top prize, narrowly edging out Emeral Repard-Denniston of North Vancouver and Vancouver's Camryn Wong.

Boys Under 14

Isaac Athans of Kelowna grabbed top spot in the boys under-14 event to record his second gold medal of the games. He beat out the Victoria brother duo of Jonathan and Christopher Horwood.

Girls Under 14

Halley Gainey of Kelowna claimed first prize in the under-14 event, narrowly edging out Sera Watson of North Vancouver. The gold medal is Gainey's third of the games, having also finished first in the wakeboarding and slalom events.
