U17/18 Kelowna team wins last three games to claim title

  • Sep. 10, 2015 12:00 p.m.

This year’s West Coast Cup team entry from Kelowna proved to be a winning combination of the Kelowna United 1998 and 1999 boys teams.

The team progressively improved their play together and piqued at precisely the right time.

Despite an opening match loss by one goal against VAFC Cian, the group rebounded with solid efforts in their final three games against WVSC Spuraways, CFC Royal and NVFC Selects.

Strong defensive play, excellent goalkeeping including two clean sheets along with timely goals from Keatin Colegrave, Conner Sandrin and Taylor Piche resulted in the team capturing the Gold Medal in the U17/18 Metro/Gold Division and bringing the 2015 West Coast Cup home to Kelowna.
