Okanagan College will host a public forum about how Canada has helped contribute to the political and economic crisis currently facing Haiti.

Okanagan College will host a public forum about how Canada has helped contribute to the political and economic crisis currently facing Haiti.

The forum takes place Saturday, Feb. 5, 7 p.m., at OC’s Kelowna campus theatre.

The guest speakers will be Roger Annis, coordinator of Canada Haiti Action Network, and Fallon Smith, a third-year UBC Okanagan nursing student. Recent news coming out about Haiti’s hurricane disaster has revealed that there has been little progress in the rebuilding of the country and that few countries, including Canada, have come through in providing the humanitarian aid that was promised.

For information about the forum, contact Tisha Kalmanovitch at 250-718-5828; tisha.kalmanovitch@gmail.com.
