The podcast Let’s not sugarcoat it, is bringing the power of storytelling to life during a speaker series on Oct. 26 and 27.
The event will take place at the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort and will offer 18 speakers who will share their real, raw and unfiltered stories of resilience and transformation.
This event will be the first book and speakers series edition and will feature, Aaron Volpatti, a former NHL player and Mike Shaw, a former professional skier.
According to organizers, Alex Vigue and Isabel Picco, "Stories of Strength" is an event where individuals share heartfelt, powerful stories of hurt, trauma, and transformation.
“ Each speaker will open their hearts, offering insights that inspire healing, connection, and growth,” said Vigue and Picco.
Each speaker has also written a story in an anthology book, and later this month they will take those stories and share them in a TEDx-style format.
During this two-day event, attendees will have the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, engage in discussions, and gain valuable insights from the keynote speakers. There is also an authors/speaker party on Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. that each ticket holder can attend. Lunch will be provided on both days.
