A Kelowna brewery's beer has been raising money for a good cause for more than a year now.

Copper Brewing's Builder's Pilsner, which was debuted in Oct. 2023 was an idea inspired by community spirit to help raise funds for the Habitat for Humanity (HFH) and Canadian Home Builders Association Central Okanagan (CHBA-CO).

“We believe in the power of community and the importance of a safe, stable home. With the Builder's Pilsner, we’re not just crafting a beer; we’re building hope,” said Copper Brewing co-owner Sean White.

When the brewery celebrated it's five-year anniversary in August 2024, they made a $10,000 donation to the HFH with funds made strictly from the pilsner's sales. This includes sales in the taproom, retail, and from sales in supporting liquor stores.

“This wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing customers and partners," said co-owner Darla Ariss. "Together, we’re not just brewing beer; we’re brewing change.”

The brewing is planning on continuing to brew the beer and use its proceeds to continue to help HFH and CHBA-CO.
