Fire chiefs converge in Vernon

The City of Vernon and Vernon Fire Rescue Services (VFRS) welcomed delegates to the 85th annual B.C. Fire Expo and Chief’s Conference June 4 -5 at Kal Tire Place. The Expo is the largest exhibition of fire service equipment and services in the Pacific Northwest.

The B.C. Fire Expo featured 125 inside booths and 30 outside displays, and brought over 300 chief officers, emergency vehicle technicians and firefighters from across the province.

“This conference is an incredible benefit to the fire service and are we grateful for the opportunity to host the event,” said VFRS Interim Chief David Lind.

The chief’s conference runs until Thursday, June 8.
