Helping hand for mom in need

Carla Miles, a single mom of three, was the recipient of the 2012 Carma Project donation of a vehicle to someone in need.

Miles was presented with the keys to a 1993 Infiniti J30 white sedan by Bruce Stranaghan, owner of Integra Tire shop on Enteprise Way in Kelowna, last Thursday afternoon.

The vehicle was donated to the Carma Project initiative by an anonymous donor. It was given an engine overhaul and brakes upgraded before being presented to Miles.

The Carma Project assists low-income families to have dependable vehicle to better cope with the day to day time pressures of everyday life.
