Introducing Kelowna’s Lady of the Lake

Character-building contest announces the winners of the 2017-18 annual contest

Miss Kelowna Lady of the Lake has announced the crowning of its 2017/2018 Miss Kelowna and Kelowna’s princess.

Alexa Rood is Miss Kelowna and Kelowna’s Princess is Bethany Kover.

The pair will be representing Kelowna as they travel around BC with the city float as well as attending numerous local events and charitable activities where they provide volunteer assistance in support of Kelowna. Miss Kelowna will also have the opportunity to represent Kelowna in its sister city, Kasugai, Japan, this fall.

EXTRA: Lady of the Lake a family affair

The recipient of both the Friendship and Area Knowledge Awards were presented to Gabrielle Hanvold, and DeAtra Shonwise was given the Public Speaking Award. Brenda Millard received the Lady of the Lake Award and Alexa Rood the Talent Award.
