Kelowna firefighters support Muscular Dystrophy campaign

Members of the Kelowna Fire Department will tour through all the pubs in town Friday, Sept. 23, to collect donations and raise awareness for the annual Muscular Dystrophy Boot Drive.

Members of the Kelowna Fire Department will tour through all the pubs in town Friday, Sept. 23, to collect donations and raise awareness for the annual Muscular Dystrophy Boot Drive.

On Saturday, Sept. 24, Kelowna firefighters will also be at Costco, Mission Park, Walmart, Superstore and London Drugs to collect donations.

The boot drive is an annual event to raise funds for and awareness of Muscular Dystrophy.

Muscular Dystrophy Canada is the umbrella organization that covers over 100 neuro-muscular disorders that affect more than 50,000 Canadians.
