The second annual Main Mom event is taking place at the Coast Capri Hotel on Saturday, Nov. 16.

Whether you are a new mom or a grandmother, the second annual Main Mom event is for you.

Taking place on Saturday, Nov. 16 at the Coast Capri Hotel, the event is for moms at any stage of parenthood, giving them a chance to connect with and learn from other moms in the community. There will also be resources, supports, and services for moms, kids, and babies.

“After executing the first Main Mom Event I wish I knew about all these supports when my kids were younger,” said founder Alexi McGreer. “It would have been comforting to know that I was not alone in navigating advice and changes I was experiencing from breastfeeding to body image, to balancing parenting and career."

"Googling things in the middle of the night when I was a new mom often left me feeling conflicted and isolated, and no matter my kids' ages, social media continues to trigger self-doubt in myself and my parenting," added McGreer. "Now I watch many of my mom friends try to juggle everything, constantly on the verge of burnout while aiming to be the non-existent 'perfect mother'. Even as my children get older and my needs change, I still look for support in different areas and I want to bring those supports for all moms together in one place.”

Running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the event includes:

  • Speakers on maternal mental health, postpartum body and pelvic health, communication skills to strengthen your relationship, identity and connecting with ourselves in motherhood, and a panel session with local moms speaking about how they balance work, home life, and parenting;
  • 60+ exhibitors showcasing resources, services, and products for moms, kids and babies;
  • A Mom Mingle where attendees can meet other moms, or have some time to themselves;
  • Free self-care stations.

Tickets are $6 for one person or $10 for two and can be purchased at the door. More information can be found on the event's website.
