As the days get shorter and temperatures continue to fall, the Penticton Access Centre asking for donations to help those in need this holiday season.

Toiletries, menstrual products, winter accessories, and water are among the items the non-profit is asking for.

"Your donation, no matter how small, can make a huge difference in someone's quality of life and help restore their dignity," a press release from the Access Centre reads.

The Penticton Access Centre, located at 304 Martin Street, serves people in need of basic daily necessities. People can donate items and learn more about the services it provides by visiting accesscentre.org.

Along with providing those in need with daily necessities, the centre also helps individuals file their taxes every year.

According to its website, the centre serves people from Osoyoos to the north of Summerland, east to Rock Creek and west to Princeton.

"We rely on the generosity of the community to help provide for those in need," its press release adds. "By donating, you can help keep those we serve safe and improve their overall well-being."
